God gave humans the ability to produce worth but not to restore when things go wrong.
Text 2 Corinthians 5:21-6:2
Another Jubilee message is that human beings have been given the ability to produce worth at creation (Genesis 1:26-28; 11:1-9; Deut. 8:17-18) but cannot restore things when things go wrong. Only God can restore, redeem, rescue, deliver, and save. This means that we must do what we can and do it well. However, when things go wrong, you live with it, try to survive using human effort, or turn to God for restoration. Many are trying to fix problems that only God can help. This message will help people to come back to God for restoration.
Some of the things that can go wrong in life: Sicknesses, death, marriage breakdown, loss of glory, sin, slavery, hell-fire, spiritual possession and attacks etc. Human effort will only enable you to survive these, but not restore you.
In human history, E.g. Adam (Genesis 3). Joseph ' (Acts 7:9-10).
In the ministry of Jesus Christ. E.g., an invalid man (John 5:1-24), a man with an impure spirit. (Mark 5:1-20). A woman whom Satan crippled for eighteen (Luke 13:10-17). A woman who was suffering from bleeding (Mark 5:25-34).
What to do to be restored is to come to God (Hosea 14:1-4; Deut 30:1-3 ).
God gives His life to anything He uses to restore people and things (Genesis 2:7; John 6:63).
What God uses to restore people: His word, His Spirit, His servant leaders (e.g. Judges 3:7-11), Jesus Christ (Acts 10:38), His angels, the Church, believers, and anything He chooses. Let us tell people that unless they come to God, they will remain in their situation; the human effort will only help them survive but not live eternal life.
