God’s love for sinners: Good things are done in love.

Text Psalm 44 ( Comp John 3:16; Rom 5: 8; Ephesians 2:4-5).

The chapter shows the great themes of God's salvation because of His love for us. From verses 1-8, David talks about how God gave their ancestors victories and tells us that it was because God loved them.

If God gave them great victories because He loved ( e.g. Eph 2:4-5) them, the question is how can we get God to love us? Put another way, what should we do to earn God’s love?

In verse 44: 6, he tells how he does not trust his own strength/sword. From verses 44:9-26, he pleads with God to rise and help them.
