A good life is built with wisdom from God.

Scripture Proverbs 3: 13-20; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; James 3:13-18 A discourse from Proverbs 3:13-20: an encouragement to search for wisdom. Proverbs encourage us to seek wisdom and to hold on to her because of the many benefits (e.g., Proverbs 3:13-20; 24:3-6).

What is wisdom from God, or who is wise? Wisdom is doing what is right (James 4:17). Obedience to God demonstrates wisdom and understanding (Deut. 4:6; Luke 22:42).

A discourse from 1 Corinthians 1:18-25: a revelation of wisdom from God

The NT reveals to us that Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God. And God's wisdom is better than human wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:18-25). Jews demand a miracle (worker) to follow Greeks demand human wisdom/philosophers to follow Sadly, nowadays, people follow their own lifestyles and decisions (e.g., 1 Tim 4:3-4); or they follow things taught by demons (e.g., the voices they hear in their head (1 Timothy 4:1-2). However, God wants us to follow Christ Jesus, His Son, and He has committed truth not to philosophers or miracle workers but to gospel ambassadors (2 Cor 5:19-20). In Christ, there is forgiveness, reconciliation, victory over Satan, and Eternal life.

A discourse from James 3:13-18: a Practical Christian living on building a godly life

James also tells us the nature of human wisdom and God’s wisdom and how we can build a godly life with God’s wisdom (principles) ( James 3:13-18). We build a goldy life with purity, peace-loving, consideration, submission to God’s will, mercy, good fruit, Impartiality, and sincerity. All these virtues are available to those who follow Jesus Christ (see Matt 5:1-13).

CONCLUSION: A godly life is built with the wisdom that comes from God.
