Solving multiple problems effectively: The story of the early Church

Text Nehemiah 4:15-18; Acts 6:1-6;

As the Lord is blessing us, I want us to learn how to solve multiple problems at the

same time.

The story of the early: In Acts 6:1-6,

The church was growing, but there were other rising needs. They prioritised addressing those needs but maintained their focus on prayer and the ministry of the word (the source of their blessings).

Benefits?

  1. You will not miss opportunities.

  2. For example, this will prevent depression because your life will be complete.

Tips: Focus on solving ‘all issues’ at the same time but give priorities to:

  1. God first (this shows respect; you also receive grace to solve other issues Mat 6:33)

  2. Give some time to issues demanding urgent attention.

  3. Never stop what keeps you alive (e.g., job, family, career, health, salvation).

  4. Identify problems that bring you down, and pray for wisdom to handle them wisely (e.g., John 5:14).

Solving multiple problems simultaneously: The story of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 4).

They did not stop rebuilding the wall despite the threat from the enemies. They depended on God for wisdom, protection, and strength. Half of the people were working on rebuilding the wall, while half were providing security. In this way, they could finish the project in 52 days.
